DRIVE UP AND SAY G'DAY

K'gari Beach Resort is located on gorgeous 75-Mile beach and is only accessible by 4WD. If you are travelling to K'gari Beach Resort in your own vehicle you can enjoy our famous hospitality... we're just one hour's drive from Hook Point (to the south), Wanggoolba Creek (to the west) and Kingfisher Bay Resort (to the west).

For those without a 4WD, K'gari Explorer Tours operates accommodated tours out of Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach that stay with us. Alternatively you can contact Fraser Island Taxis on +61 7 4127 9188 and organise a transfer to meet your barge and drive you to the resort - but you will need a 4WD to explore the island! 4WDs can be hired from the resort, but must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.

BY AIR TO FRASER

Air Fraser operate scenic flights and air transfers ex Hervey Bay and ex Sunshine Coast, to Fraser Island daily. There's also an air strip at Wanggoolba Creek, but you'll need to arrange transportation in advance to the resort - either with the Fraser Island taxi or by private vehicle. Landing fees apply - just contact the Team for more info.

BY AIR TO HERVEY BAY - FRASER COAST

Virgin Australia operates direct flights from Sydney with connecting flights from other ports. Qantas Link operates direct flights from Brisbane.

BY RAIL TO HERVEY BAY

Tilt Train services operate from Brisbane or Rockhampton to Maryborough with a QR Rail-link bus (or private limo transfer) to Hervey Bay. The team will be happy to give you more information.
